Day 11 | Newborn Boy

I just can not get enough of newborn photography. I enjoy each session that comes in. Last week I had the pleasure of photographing this little guy. Believe me, he is just as adorable in person as he is in these photographs!

I always love photographing newborns. Even when they make me work extra hard to capture beautiful portraits of them! This little bundle of sweetness didn’t sleep for long periods of time and woke easily but LOVE that with a bit of time and patience I was able to capture these gorgeous shots of her.

A special post for me today- It is my youngest sons birthday!  Meet my 3 year old

He is such a sweet little boy! and we LOVE him so much. I am so blessed to have four beautiful children and very thankful to be a mother.

He is my baby. My last baby. We thought we were done having children after our third child. On July 24 2006, my Grandmother passed away. She was living with us for several years and was a big part of our lives. 3 months later I found out I was pregnant. Wow!! I was mourning the loss of my wonderful Grandma but was loving the idea of having this new little person in our lives. My husband told me that we were always meant to be a family of 6. (with her living with us, we were.)

9 months later Tyler was born on July 23, 2007. Just one day shy of it being a year since her passing. I’ve always looked at it as a reminder to be happy and celebrate life. I am so much stronger now because of him and know that he was the blessing we needed.

Introducing my newest product! Mini 3×3 accordion albums! A few select clients have already received these and they have been a huge hit! I am now including them as part of “what your session fee covers.” These make great Grand Parents gifts! Tiny enough to fit in your purse yet they are sure make a big impact… you will love them.

Creating artwork, it’s what I do. I start by first taking images of your precious newborn. Curled up in delicate newborn poses, wrapped in a gorgeous wrap and posed in a cute hand knit hat. I love the variety I’m able to capture.

I also love the choices I have to turn the images into pieces of art for the walls of your home. In this example, I’m showing images of a canvas that I have hanging in the studio. When you come for your newborn session you will be sure to fall in love with this! Definitely a must see and a must have.

This little guy is his parents pride and joy. He is definitely LOVED by many. Such a little sweet heart- I really enjoyed being able to spend two mornings with him, while capturing beautiful newborn portraits for his parents.

Meet Baby Boy “H”, a pure sweetheart at just 9 days old. He was an absolute perfect model for me and gave hardly a fuss when we moved into a different pose or setup.  Here is a sneak peek of his newborn session, enjoy!

My session with this little baby boy couldn’t have gone any better! He was a pure delight to photograph. The only time he gave me work to do was when I tried to move his little fingers or place his hands in another position… so we went with it, where he wanted them and how he wanted them. When he finally settled into a nice sleep, he was out! Which gave us perfect opportunity to get some adorable sleeping shots of him.

I LOVE it when my favorite images are included in the orders of my clients! I was super excited to see this image in print, and I had to snap a picture of it before delivering it to the family.

Newborns are my favorite subject to photograph and along with that comes my love for making custom birth announcements for the new parents. I was inspired to come up with a couple different styles using the pictures of a recent newborn session.

I couldn’t wait to meet this newborn baby girl! When I got a call from her mom asking if I could fit them in this weekend, I was thrilled to do so! I had just acquired some new girlie props and accessories and  I was anxiously waiting for a newborn girl to use them on. My last few newborns in studio as well as a few booked in the future have been and will be boys…. so I could hardly wait to photograph Little Miss “A”.

And thanks to her Mom and Dad for letting me capture these images of her, she’s beautiful!

Another Product Example : I shared the entire birth session slideshow in the last post and I thought it would be awesome to share the actual DVD. These are custom made using a photograph from your personal session, a unique and special touch!

Last October, I was asked to photograph a birth and am excited to be able to share the DVD slideshow of the images I captured. The family is so pleased with this and have assured me that they would gladly share this video on my blog so that others may get the same experience.

Meet sweet baby boy “J”

He and his momma came to visit me this week for a newborn photography session. He was quite awake and very alert throughout the entire session- he sure didn’t want to miss a thing!

But with a little bit of patience, we were able to capture some adorable sleeping shots of him

and I just LOVE these close-ups

Sharing some images of recently printed products. I’m very excited about having my product sample on hand and will definitely be showcasing more in the future!

First, I have examples of a mini 3×3 accordion album. These are perfect for gifts and are quite often used as grandparents gifts. Small enough to carry around in your purse, but big enough to make an impact!

What I love most about these is their magnetic cover.

This next example is a ’standout’

A standout is a thick lightweight board finished with a black plastic edge and comes ready to display with hanging holes on the backside.

My examples are sized 16×20 and 11×14.
