So cute, I just had to share it!! seriously- I LOVE capturing newborn smiles… simply makes my day.

This little bundle of sweetness came for her session at 10 days old and was undoubtedly one of the best sleepers we’ve had in the studio.

She surprised her parents by arriving a few weeks early but couldn’t be any healthier, weighing over 7 lbs still! Her family is in complete awe of her,  just take a look  at these gorgeous images and you will see why

These are simple sessions and are geared towards getting some adorable expressions of them all dressed up. I, for one, love looking at our old family albums and reminisce about the past and seeing me in my costumes brings back so many wonderful memories of my childhood.

Day 11 | Newborn Boy

I just can not get enough of newborn photography. I enjoy each session that comes in. Last week I had the pleasure of photographing this little guy. Believe me, he is just as adorable in person as he is in these photographs!

I am very excited to announce a new product that I am going to be offering!  Of course, before I could make the announcement, I had to get a sample for my home.

This one is sized 16×16. I loved doing the square crop on this photo.  And just for a size comparison, those black frames on both sides are 8×10’s.

They come complete and ready to hang with gatorboard backing that allows the picture to extend out from the wall.

This new product is a unique and modern way to display your images beautifully in your home!

I had the pleasure of meeting Miss. C who is expecting a baby boy next month. She is just stunning and I have to say that the images we created during this session are just as beautiful.

I See U.

My daughter spotted this dragonfly in our tree the other day. Even though it was a hot AZ afternoon, we stood outside and admired it for a bit. When I went in to grab my camera and put on a macro lens, he ended up getting startled and flying off. Lucky for me he decided to come back to the exact same spot and let us get a few shots of him before he finally flew away for good. Love the colors in this shot.

I plan on printing this into a 20×10 storyboard and have it hanging in my home soon.

This session was awesome. I usually don’t schedule many photo shoots with older children, as maternity and newborn is my passion, but when the family came to me to fit them in I couldn’t turn them down. I quickly began to think of ideas for their session. Their mother wanted to get some lovely pictures of them together and I really think we were able to capture just that.

My family and I took the kids to the Phoenix Zoo two weekends ago. I have finally taken some time to sit down and go over the pictures. This particular shot really caught my eye. What a beautiful animal. I was so thrilled that he sat there long enough for me to get a couple shots of him – this being my favorite. Once I edited it, I knew I had to share it on my photography blog.

Nature shots- in honor of Earth Day.

I took the kids into the backyard the other day to search for interesting things to take pictures of. They had fun looking for bugs and finding different beautiful flowers for me to photograph.

My daughter told me this afternoon that she wanted me to help her save the world. (she learned about earth day at the gym this morning.) I love the sweet innocence of my children, they sure do melt my heart.

I love this storyboard template so much that I use it in almost every newborn session gallery. Just a quick change of  the background color makes it versatile, and usable for either boy or girl babies . Here are a couple that I’ve done for 2 different newborn sessions.

The names have been omitted from the storyboard for the privacy of the family.

I have been busy working on putting something together for my husband Justin. The original plan was to have this done and ready for upload on Valentines Day but I didn’t make that deadline. Justin came home a couple times during these sessions and even caught me editing these photos, once or twice. It was supposed to be a surprise for him. I’m sure he will love this montage so… without further ado

I am excited to announce the winners of our first ever favorites contest! The first place winner, with 79 votes, was photo number 5 from a newborn session with the “W” family. They will receive an 11×14 mounted print of their favorite image from their session. The second place winner, with 43 votes, was photo number 14 from a  family session with the “C” family. Meet Marleigh… My cute little Yorkie.

I was so lucky to receive her as a Valentines gift from my husband. She is about 10 weeks old. I wanted to be sure to get some cute pictures of her while she is still so tiny.  Now if only I can get my sheltie to sit for a while so I can get some of her too. I’ll have to give it a try soon.

I will be uploading my project that I have been working on for my husband soon too. I am very excited to share this with him…. Finally!
