While setting up for a newborn session my two year old comes in and walks to me and says “My turn!” He then gets into this position for me to take the shot. I was only able to get two quick images but I really do love them both. I’m always happy when he wants to be photographed. Here is one of the two I managed to get out of him before he felt like our little session was over. Hey, I’ll take what I can get. Especially when they are this adorable….

What is a casting call? A casting call is offered when I want to add a certain type of session to my portfolio or if I have new props and creative ideas that I would like to try out. They are intended to get a certain shot or image that I have in mind and the time spent during the session is mainly on capturing these images for my portfolio.
What is expected of the casting call clients? Must be willing to sign a model release as these images will be used in my online portfolio as well as other printed marketing materials. Keep in mind that this session will be focusing on getting some of the shots that I have in mind and I will spend most of the session trying to capture these images for my portfolio. If there is enough time to capture other things, I will be sure to get some of your favorite poses in as well.
What do the casting call clients receive? A complimentary newborn session in my home studio. (can last up to 3-4 hours, to allow time for diaper changes and feedings.) One free 11×14 print of your favorite image.

These mini sessions are designed for us to create several beautiful images for your holiday cards and gifts for your family and friends. Sessions are shorter than my normal sessions with the plan to capture the perfect image for your holiday gift giving needs.
Limited bookings are available and will be done on a first come – first serve basis.

I had the wonderful pleasure of photographing this adorable 2 month old.
She was such a little sweetheart. She didn’t really agree with my idea of getting her to sleep to pose her for sleeping shots but I have to say I do love that I was able to capture her beautiful eyes.

I am very excited to announce a new product that I am going to be offering! Of course, before I could make the announcement, I had to get a sample for my home.
(And of course I used my newest favorite photo of my 2 year old.)

This one is sized 16×16. I loved doing the square crop on this photo. And just for a size comparison, those black frames on both sides are 8×10’s.
They come complete and ready to hang with gatorboard backing that allows the picture to extend out from the wall.

This little bundle of sweetness was 8 days old and a pure delight to photograph. The hours spent during a session goes by so quickly when you’re working with such a peaceful sleeper, giving me the perfect opportunity to capture beautiful images of them.

My daughter spotted this dragonfly in our tree the other day. Even though it was a hot AZ afternoon, we stood outside and admired it for a bit. When I went in to grab my camera and put on a macro lens, he ended up getting startled and flying off. Lucky for me he decided to come back to the exact same spot and let us get a few shots of him before he finally flew away for good. Love the colors in this shot.

These 4 adorable children belong to me! We have had quite a busy summer: went on a camping trip with neighbors and friends, went to Illinois to attend a wedding, and then another camping trip with those same neighbors and friends. We always have such a great time with them. I took my camera in hopes of getting some amazing pictures and although the children were dirty the entire time I did manage to get some that I really love. These two fall into that category.
I’m excited to announce that I have been working on some great deals for the holidays. I am going to offer mini session, for the first time, that will include your holiday cards! A wonderful and talented photographer, Lyndsay Stradtner, created this peice of word art. She shared the template on her blog, which can be found here. I simply replaced and added some words that have meaning to my family and I.
I plan on printing this into a 20×10 storyboard and have it hanging in my home soon.

Isn’t he precious. After he fell asleep I put him down and he just slept so soundly. I was able to snap a few shots of him in this position before he moved a bit. The vertical image is getting printed Big! (that one is my favorite!!)

Wow… Summer break has started. Busy busy busy around here. I have finally had a chance to sit down and edit some more pictures of my youngest son and I. He was watching me this afternoon edit this shot and he kept smiling and pointing and saying “Mom, Me”. It was so cute. I am definitely going to be making a storyboard collage of these images. I will share an example of that soon.

This session was awesome. I usually don’t schedule many photo shoots with older children, as maternity and newborn is my passion, but when the family came to me to fit them in I couldn’t turn them down. I quickly began to think of ideas for their session. Their mother wanted to get some lovely pictures of them together and I really think we were able to capture just that.

I adore this! Seriously, I had so much fun with my two year old yesterday. I set up my stuio and had plans to get shots of him. Only problem was that he didn’t want to. I decded to get into the pictures with him and that is when this moment happened. He put his arms around me and just smiled. I loved it. I quickly took the shot using my remote and am so glad I was able to get a picture as wonderful as this. I have so many more that I think are just as great and will share them too soon. Until then,

My family and I took the kids to the Phoenix Zoo two weekends ago. I have finally taken some time to sit down and go over the pictures. This particular shot really caught my eye. What a beautiful animal. I was so thrilled that he sat there long enough for me to get a couple shots of him – this being my favorite. Once I edited it, I knew I had to share it on my photography blog.
